Flint Handmade's fantastic new “knuckles” logo was designed by Yasmin Ladha, a very talented up-and-coming visual artist. Yaz is a student at Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids. She was born and raised in the Flint area and graduated in 2006 from Davison High School.
Yaz has a natural eye for color and design, and her name will be heard around the art world very soon. Much to our delight, she is a supporter of Flint Handmade and was very enthusiastic to design our logo. Yaz is a gifted and innovative crafter/artist who is never reluctant to share her talents just for the joy of doing so. Although her focus is in graphic design, a fairly electronic and digital media, she still strives to do most of her work by hand, an aesthetic that all crafters can appreciate. Her attention to detail and passion to create quality art is one of the strongest and most appealingly obvious aspects of her work.
We hope that our collaboration with Yasmin will continue far into the future. She is an asset to us, and we are so appreciative of her talent and generosity. Thank you, Yasmin. You rock!
